Last eps, Ren won without using Amyroth (DigiFriend) and this time, Subaru won without using Masquerade Ghost.. It's a little thing, but it totally hints their improvement that their decks now don't revolve only around DigiFriend and their Ace card, but rather to the whole deck mechanic itself.. Nice detail if I may say so

Subaru x Fuwari is the best ship

I honestly liked the way Subaru won! The way he ended the fight made him look a bit like Sasuke or Seto Kaiba! It is so amazing and it shows he is a lot better than most of he members of Sevens Flame! Looking forward to see his evolution!

I do not like however how all these fights have the outcomes easy to predict. I mean the moment Mikado said that "all of them will be expelled if they don't ALL win their matches"... it is too obvious that these are pre-determined :(

Still tho, the fact that he didn't use Masquerade Ghost in this match had me surprised. Hell, how the guy won caught me off guard

I see what you planning with that weird "Even if you won", In the end Light wont get his fate even if he beat Haruma.. or also maybe they will be expelled regardless which is doubt cause it will cause chaos.

Great episode, really good fight. I liked how Subaru won.
It's just a shame we didn't get to learn more about him... ๐Ÿ˜…

oh man, another nostalgia trip. turn 5 Cerberus into turn 6 Phantom Howl+Coco+Mimi was a deadly combo everyone feared back during the game's Standard era. it made Aggro Shadow the only deck having better chance against PtP forest than other classes simply through the sheer burst potential at turn 6, combined with their good aggresion before that.

Ghostly Vanishing is a great spell. the basic effect is nice, more aggression for Ghost shadow is welcomed as the deck right now in the mobile game is kinda lacking on that part. and the enhance gives the whole archetype a reliable wincon to strive for. while Masquerade Ghost allowing you to summon up to 4 4/4 Giant Ghost with Ward is scary to imagine, there are aoe clears among some of the top decks right now (Artifact Portal, Crystallize Haven a.k.a Tsubasa's deck, and Evolve Control Sword) that can take care of them easily with 1 or 2 cards.

having big dmg burn spell like enhanced Ghostly Vanishing is one good way to help the deck, especially one that can scale rather easily just by playing the deck, as proven with other cards like Darkfeast Bat for Wrath Blood and Forbidden Darkmage for Earth Rite Rune.

They making a girl whose age is probably 15 or less be a "mom" totally creeps me out, the apron and even the halo of hair just creeps the hell out me, btw inst the cerberus card from another game?

Most shadowverse cards reuse artwork for the now defunct Rage of Bahamut gatcha game.

This episode was really lame one of the worst of the entire serie,at least next week should be good.

Ngl... I didn't like this episode. I knew Subaru was going to win but what was the point in making him battle Fuwari again? Maybe I'm biased but god-damned

Justice • 1 year ago

People might think that this tournament is kind of revenge fight, especially after looking at Tsubasa and Ren's fight and obviously upcoming Itsuki's fight, but it's not like that.. In Subaru's case, it's a 1st-step redemption arc.. Fuwari changed him, and his team made him realized that and also the other way around, Fuwari made him realized that Subaru also changed because of his team..

And a bit hint of romance for Subaru and Fuwari

I mean, sign me up for the ship, I love their interactions, they feel natural and are sweet!

But the fact that they literally reused animations from their first battle and didn't even improve Fuwari's deck is kind of frustrating, even though I know she's not a main character but still, making her lose against a not serious Subaru and then making her lose against a serious Subaru although she's supposed to be strong enough for Haruma not wanting to battle her... Idk, it just bothered me you know. It feels like all the other battles were just more important than this one (and that's so sad bc i think Subaru is the most interesting chara of the main cast).

I hope they show more of those two anyway, even though there are just like 20 episodes left and have said nothing regarding the "main" plot or the importance of the Seven Shadows.

He wan'ts to battle his waifu. Lol

SigmaDemon • 1 year ago

You sure it is not just you being sexist about a boy finally winning at something against a girl Allisson? Please look back on last episode and realise that a "girl" defeated the captain of the Swords guild (a boy). So please try not to say that a boys should not defeat girls at a game in which boys were passionate to play ahead of girls anyway. Thank you!

Alisson Johns • 1 year ago

Yeah, nope. I'm not saying that. You see, I didn't like it bc of the battle itself, just how I didn't like how Yuya lost against Yuzu when he didn't know how to use pendulums and never got the chance to duel her again bc of plot (I'm talking about ygo arc v btw). They didn't even improve Fuwari's deck the way they did Subaru's, and that's frustrating. Although, Subaru is my fav character and i like that they showed that he's actually stronger than he shows, this battle IN MY OPINION could've been much better.

But I guess it doesn't matter if u see this kind of animes as a boys vs girls thing.
